Anekant AI ("we", "us", or "our") operates messaging-based and web-based services that help businesses and individuals communicate, automate workflows, and manage customer interactions, including services delivered over WhatsApp, the web, and integrated APIs (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the Services:
- Contact details — phone number, name, and any profile information you share when you message us or sign up.
- Message content — text, images, documents, and other media you send or receive through our Services. This includes structured form responses (e.g. WhatsApp Flow submissions) and button selections.
- Usage and technical data — message timestamps, delivery and read status, IP address, device and browser information, and diagnostic logs needed to operate the Services.
- Business information — if you are a business client, we collect the contact, billing, and configuration details you provide to set up your account.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver, operate, and support the Services you have requested.
- To respond to inquiries, complete bookings, send appointment confirmations, and provide customer service.
- To improve the Services, debug issues, and develop new features.
- To comply with applicable laws, including tax and accounting obligations in India.
- With your consent, to send service-related updates and relevant offers. You can opt out at any time.
3. WhatsApp Business Platform
Some of our Services are delivered using the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you message a number operated by us on WhatsApp, your messages and metadata are processed by Meta in accordance with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and WhatsApp Privacy Policy, in addition to this Policy. We only use the data Meta provides through the platform to operate the Services and respond to you.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers we rely on to operate the Services (for example, cloud hosting, communication APIs, payment processors, and AI model providers). These providers act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case any transferred data remains subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Conversation history, transient session state, and generated media are retained for a limited window (typically 24 hours to 90 days depending on the feature) and then automatically expire. Accounting and tax records may be retained for the period required by Indian law.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport (TLS), authenticated access controls, and isolated execution environments. Our infrastructure runs on global cloud providers and your information may be processed in countries outside India. Where we do this, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
